TLC Trans Ed, a subsidiary of The Lincoln Center that develops Trans Ed Alternative schools for individual schools or districts, school district consortiums and regional
alternative for school districts. The TLC Trans Ed Institute also offers alternative education system training for school district administrators, curriculum personnel, teachers and counselors on
a variety of subjects including: how they can develop and operate an alternative education program that combines high quality, individualized instruction for their students in conjunction with
the development of strong pro-social skills and how to better manage the alternative education student and reduce the need for out of district referrals.
TLC Trans ED Institute Purpose
The purpose of the Institute is to advance TLC Transformational Education® as an alternative education model for public and private school use, as an effective means of meeting the needs
of their non-traditional learners: those students who cannot effectively learn or manage themselves within the traditional classroom.
TLC Transformational Education® is TLC’s leading edge approach to alternative education programs. By combining research, innovation, experience and knowledge, TLC has developed
a comprehensive alternative education model that brings together the three critical operating systems essential for alternative school success: organizational culture, instructional methodology,
and life skills counseling.
